We're looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service. Overview Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate individual to join our Testing team at San Carlos. As part of this team, you will contribute to development and certification testing of low and high voltage system electronics that are part of our Integrated Flight Controls, Processing, and Communication systems within our VTOL electric aircraft. The Joby Aviation team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a very fast-paced and rewarding environment. We are looking to expand this team with individuals looking to make a mark in the transportation industry. Responsibilities Development and Certification testing of various safety critical Joby airborne electronic hardware. Assist during LRU, sub-system, and system level qualification test campaigns: Magnetic effects Testing Power Inputs and Voltage spike Audio/Radio and Signal Susceptibility Conducted and Radiated Emissions ESD Direct and Indirect effects of lightning Develop/compose test requirements and work with the team to develop test setups Domestic travel to EME test labs as needed Qualification Test Procedures development and coordination Work closely with Design, Certification and Testing team to comply with D0-160 Troubleshooting/debugging of test setup and airborne electronic hardware Required Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, OR Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience Strong analog EE fundamentals related to Power Quality testing Strong experience using lab test equipment (O-scopes, HV Differential Probes, milli-ohmmeters, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, Amplifiers, Transformers, Current Probes, Injection Probes, Reverb Chambers) Experience testing electronics hardware to
