Source One is a consulting services company and we're currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company in Foster City, CA.
Title:
Radar Test Engineer Pay:
$71.10/hr (W-2) plus benefits
Initial Duration:
One year with likely extension
Summary:
Our client, an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, is seeking a Radar Test Engineer to support vehicle testing and radar firmware validation. In this role, you'll schedule and execute structured and unstructured vehicle testing and support next-generation radar evaluation. You'll coordinate test campaign logistics, assist with thermal testing, and contribute to radar test setup development. The ideal candidate has two years of relevant experience, with familiarity working with Linux and Ethernet systems. You also have strong communication skills, exposure to autonomous vehicle hardware testing, and experience with Python or other automation tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and execute vehicle testing (structured and unstructured)
  • Validate radar firmware and support performance evaluation of next-generation radar systems
  • Support next-generation radar evaluation
  • Coordinate logistics and arrangements for test campaigns
  • Manage warranty returns and support communication with radar suppliers
  • Assist with thermal testing to validate new trims and enclosures
  • Develop and maintain radar test setups, including gimbal systems and test automation scripts
Required:
  • Undergraduate degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with working on Linux systems
  • Experience with Ethernet systems
  • An organized mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
  • Scripting with python or other automation tools
  • Exposure to testing autonomous vehicle hardware systems
