Job Summary
The Network Test / Validation Engineer will perform solution-level and high-scale network testing and validation across VxLAN/EVPN, MPLS overlays, QoS, and RoCE/RoCEv2 environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with Ixia (IxNetwork) or Spirent to design and execute large-scale performance, convergence, stress, and traffic validation tests. The engineer will validate network behavior and performance at scale while leveraging Python and REST APIs for test automation and reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Perform solution-level and scale testing for VxLAN/EVPN, MPLS overlays, QoS, and RoCE/RoCEv2.
- Design and execute high-scale traffic and protocol emulation using Ixia (IxNetwork) or Spirent.
- Validate throughput, latency, jitter, packet loss, microbursts, and convergence at scale.
- Test QoS behaviors, including classification, queuing, shaping, policing, and congestion handling.
- Validate RoCE lossless fabric behavior, including PFC, ECN, congestion behavior, and latency sensitivity.
- Automate test execution and reporting using Python and REST APIs.
- Develop clear test plans and document test results.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects discovered during network testing and validation. Required Qualifications
- Experience in network testing, network validation, or performance engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with VxLAN/EVPN and MPLS.
- Solid understanding of QoS design and validation.
- Experience testing RoCE/RoCEv2 environments.
- Very strong hands-on experience with Ixia (IxNetwork) or Spirent, preferably in high-scale testing environments.
- Experience with Python-based test automation.
- Strong understanding of BGP, including EVPN.
- Strong understanding of OSPF and/or IS-IS.
- Strong understanding of ECMP.
- Experience designing and executing large-scale performance, convergence, and stress tests.
