5-12 years The Senior Validation Engineer is responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end validation activities for battery systems, charging cases, and peripheral accessories across product lines. This role involves hands-on testing, failure analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in hardware/software validation with a passion for delivering high-quality consumer electronics.
What You Will Do:
Author, own, and execute validation test plans, test specifications, and coverage matrices for battery, charging case, and accessory subsystems - from prototype through mass production. Define and refine validation methodologies, test strategies, and coverage criteria. Perform system-level hardware and software testing, including performance benchmarking, reliability stress testing, thermal characterization, and safety/regulatory compliance testing. Set up and maintain test environments, fixtures, and instrumentation. Create comprehensive documentation to enable replication of test environments across different geographical locations. Identify, reproduce, and document hardware and software defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for validation failures and field escapes, collaborating with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and product design engineering teams. Develop and maintain test automation scripts (Python or similar) to improve test efficiency and repeatability. Drive improvements in test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration for hardware testing. Document test results, analyze data, and generate clear validation reports. Provide data-driven status updates to engineering management and program leadership. Represent the validation team in design reviews and program milestone discussions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Systems Engineering, Product Design, Operations, and enablement teams. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior validation engineers.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master''s preferred. Experience with battery system validation, charging systems, or power management testing. Familiarity with wearable and/or hearable product validation. 3 to 5+ years of experience in hardware/software validation or test engineering in consumer electronics or related industry. Proven ability to author validation plans, test specifications, and coverage matrices. Strong experience with root cause analysis techniques and corrective action processes. Proficiency in test automation using Python or similar scripting languages. Experience with Android or iOS mobile platform testing and debugging tools (e.g., ADB, RTOS etc ).
Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of delivering validation programs in high-volume consumer electronics environments. Experience with automation framework development and CI/CD integration for hardware testing. Knowledge of battery safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC 62133, UN 38.3, UL 2054). Experience with thermal testing, environmental stress screening, and reliability testing (HALT/HASS). Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation - power analyzers, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, environmental chambers. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to cross-functional audiences.
