Job Description

QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Tester will provide assistance with all testing and documentation of applications and programs to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within budgetary guidelines agreed upon with the Project/Delivery Manager. The incumbent will be expected to consistently produce high‑quality results that meet business needs, ensuring analysis, design, and development are aligned with defined requirements and desired functionality, and that outcomes meet business objectives and timelines.
Essential Job Functions:
Verify and validate processes in terms of activities (testing, code inspection, etc.), methods, and tools Develop, maintain, and implement System/UAT testing strategies, test plans, test processes, test scenarios, and test cases based on CMMI standards Create test estimation templates, as required Identify test cases suitable for automation Create and maintain business‑requirement‑to‑test‑result mappings Develop automation scripts for test cases Train internal staff on test automation tools and suites (e.g., Mercury, QTP), as required Document standards and guidelines for scripting Develop installation guides and user manuals for test automation scripts Provide leadership and best‑practice guidance for process definition and implementation Report to the assigned project lead Provide guidance and support to Project Managers on implementing defined QA processes Deliver required training to team members Reconcile data between source and target systems as part of data migration testing and production cutover Communicate with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Developers to understand and clarify requirements Participate in process and product quality assurance (PPQA) reviews and audits to ensure compliance with documented plans, procedures, and standards Provide technical input for change request reviews Participate in system requirements reviews and team meetings Support production troubleshooting and post‑deployment activities Collect and review quantitative data related to testing and development activities for measurement and analysis Identify, report, and manage defects using a defect tracking system Provide regular updates to Test and Project Managers Produce testing status reports per project requirements and contribute to overall project plans and processes Identify, assess, and communicate risks to the project team
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Levels I & II:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Level III:
Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline Role‑specific experience: Required years of experience in QA, testing, and/or development based on position level Extensive experience in financial technology and banking/financial services domains, including exposure to investment banking, portfolio accounting systems, and trading applications
Related Certifications:
ISTQB CSTE
(preferred)
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong collaboration skills to work with application managers, database administrators, system administrators, and end users Excellent listening and communication skills to surface issues related to complex organizational environments and operational constraints High level of professional maturity to guide and select procedures that add value and comply with CMMI requirements Expert understanding of enterprise technology environments, including Oracle, Unix, Java, WebSphere, WSAD, and Oracle Application Server Desired Skills/Abilities (Nice to Have): Experience with software testing tools and suites such as Mercury, QTP, Test Director, WinRunner, or similar platforms Dexian stands at the forefront of Talent + Technology solutions with a presence spanning more than 70 locations worldwide and a team exceeding 10,000 professionals.
