(DSN) is seeking a full-time Systems Validation Engineer to join our team in Mossville, IL. We offer full benefits, PTO, 401k, and more! Position Overview The Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing validation activities for a Modular Power Conversion System (MPCS) platform throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle. This role ensures system functionality, safety, performance, cybersecurity, and customer requirements are fully validated before product release. The engineer will work closely with software, controls, electrical, product support, quality, and program management teams to drive validation readiness, resolve issues, and support gateway milestones. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain MPCS system validation plans aligned with program gateway milestones Define validation scope, test strategies, and acceptance criteria for new features and system releases Coordinate laboratory, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), endurance, integration, and field validation activities Support validation of software releases, firmware updates, network communications, HMI functionality, and control algorithms Track validation progress and ensure timely completion of test activities Support software integration, system troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations Coordinate validation activities across software, controls, electrical, telematics, cybersecurity, product quality, and product support teams Communicate validation status, risks, issues, and recommendations to program leadership Mentor team members on validation methodologies, test execution, and system troubleshooting Work Environment This is a collaborative and hands-on team environment, with engineers regularly participating in system integration, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, field support, and validation activities. Team members are encouraged to take ownership of complex technical challenges while leveraging the expertise of colleagues throughout the organization.
Requirements Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience
Required Technical Skills:
Electrical background Experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer) Experience with
