Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Lead for a Contract with a client in Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate with expertise leading banking application testing programs, driving quality assurance initiatives, and ensuring successful delivery through effective test planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
Rate Range:
$37/hour to $43/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Lead Job Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage end-to-end testing programs for banking and financial applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, regulatory standards, and project objectives. Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and quality metrics for functional, integration, system, and peripheral testing activities. Coordinate testing teams, manage defect lifecycles, track test execution progress, and provide comprehensive status reporting to stakeholders and leadership. Utilize HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, Confluence, Postman, SoapUI, Git/Bitbucket, and Maven to support test management, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes. Collaborate with business, development, and project teams to analyze requirements, identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure complete test coverage across banking applications. Drive QA best practices, process improvements, and test governance while mentoring team members and ensuring successful delivery in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing, including 3+ years of experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager within Banking or Financial Services environments. Strong experience in Banking/Financial domain testing, including peripheral testing, Branch applications, test strategy development, test governance, defect management, and SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall). Hands-on expertise with HP ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, Confluence, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Postman, SoapUI, and enterprise testing tools, with proven experience leading QA teams, managing testing programs, and delivering high-quality banking applications. Pay Details:
