IT Quality Assurance manager role is responsible for the overall Quality Assurance team effectiveness and development and maintenance of proficient QA practices and processes across the IT solution delivery to various clients. This role is required to be champion and gatekeeper of the quality control to ensure the end-result meets the design and requirements expectations of the business experience in the quality control. The ideal candidate is high-energy, reliable, and a business value-driven professional whose expertise and strong leadership skills will be necessary for the continuous improvement in the solution delivery goals.
Job Duties:
Responsible for the overall IT quality assurance, control processes, testing strategy and quality documentation for the project Develops and maintains QA processes to establish software delivery practices, including Test plans, Test scripts, Bug Reports Researches industry developments and updates quality assurance policies and procedures with a goal of continuous improvement in workflow and practices Participates in the complete product life cycle for an efficient solution delivery Delivers project deliverables on time by meeting key project milestones while adhering to development and quality standards Maintains reported defects triage process by working closely with software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts Maintains the process of root cause analysis for issues reported and establishes well-defined action plans to prevent these issues in the future Assembles and consolidates testing status to internal and customer management teams Represents the business team and requirements while actively working with technical team to assist with issue resolution Coaches and mentors QA Analysts to ensure the best quality solution delivery to the client Be a champion and driver of continuous improvement of QA processes and promote adoption of emerging technologies Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day workload of the team on assigned engagements and reviews work product Acts as mentor to team, as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferred
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in Quality Assurance for IT or professional services organizations, required Two (2) years of experience in managing QA, UAT teams within IT or professional services organizations, required Strong experience with writing test plans and executing automated testing to include functional, smoke, regression, load, negative and mobile strategies, required Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches, preferred Adaptable to fast-paced changing industry practices, preferred
License/Certifications:

Technologies One of following technology experience, preferred: JIRA Enterprise Tester HP Quality Center Power
BI SQL / T-SQL
Selenium Language:
N/A Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong team management and interpersonal skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Excels at operating in a fast-paced technical environment Ability to solve problems, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issues Strong analytical and technical skills to manage the QA process Experience with Agile, DevOps methodologies, a strong plus Ability to manage various project deliverables across industries Ability to maintain the repository of QA artifacts Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
Illinois Range:
