Automation Service Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Specialist to ensure optimal performance of automated equipment at client sites. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical documents will be essential to your success. Responsibilities Install and commission automated systems at customer locations, adhering to technical specifications and safety guidelines. Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, utilizing electrical testing equipment and mechanical knowledge to minimize downtime. Provide comprehensive technical support to customers via phone and email, addressing inquiries and resolving problems promptly. Conduct training sessions for customer personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of automated equipment. Document all service activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with internal teams to communicate product feedback and facilitate continuous improvement. Evaluate equipment installations to validate warranty activation, ensuring adherence to company standards. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support, fostering long-term relationships. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role. Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Skills Industry-specific certifications. Experience with Gantry and Industrial Robots. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel extensively, including possible international assignments.
