- Stable, privately owned company with excellent benefits The Role As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you'll combine technical expertise with customer relationship management to drive automation solutions that improve safety, productivity, and profitability.
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct technical consultations to assess customer applications and identify improvement opportunities Design and recommend automation solutions tailored to specific industrial needs Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations for new technologies Prepare detailed proposals, specifications, and quotes Build long-term partnerships with engineering teams, plant managers, and maintenance professionals Stay current on emerging automation technologies through ongoing training Travel within your territory to provide on-site support and consultation
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) Equivalent technical degree and/or hands-on industrial experience will be considered Strong foundation in
Industrial Automation & Control Systems:
PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) Remote I/O (RIO) HMI (Human-Machine Interface) SCADA systems Industrial PCs Knowledge of VFDs & Motor Control systems Understanding of Industrial Networking protocols Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory (some overnight travel)
Highly Valued Skills:
Siemens platform experience (PLCs, drives, HMI, SCADA) Profinet & Profibus networking knowledge Industrial instrumentation (level, pressure, flow measurement) Power distribution systems (LV/MV switchgear, MCCs, panelboards) Experience in technical sales or application engineering
