Job DescriptionBryceTech is seeking a Software Test Engineer IV to support the U.S. Army's Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Support to Command and Control (CSC2) System of Systems (SoS) program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Working closely with Government Test and Evaluation (T&E) leadership, this individual will provide technical leadership for software testing, interoperability, cybersecurity, and Agile software delivery across multiple Joint Service capabilities. The successful candidate will help ensure modern software solutions are thoroughly tested, integrated, and delivered using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies while supporting critical Department of Defense modernization efforts.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead software test engineering activities across multiple CSC2 System of Systems capabilities, ensuring software functionality, interoperability, and mission readinessCollaborate with Government Test and Evaluation leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute software testing efforts across multiple programsDevelop, maintain, and continuously update software test, cybersecurity, and interoperability activities within Agile Roadmaps and Capability Release PlansManage software testing schedules, sprint planning activities, and program milestones using Agile Lifecycle Management tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, or ConfluenceGenerate executive dashboards, performance metrics, reports, and briefing materials using data from Agile Lifecycle Management toolsIdentify, monitor, and optimize software delivery critical paths from development through production deployment while integrating automated testing and cybersecurity milestonesDevelop technical performance specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), application programming interface (API) documentation, and open architecture requirements supporting integration with external systemsDesign and maintain automated traceability and software test frameworks within DevSecOps pipelines to ensure alignment between software requirements, architecture, cybersecurity controls, and testing activitiesDevelop and execute software test plans, automated test procedures, and cybersecurity validation activities supporting acquisition, testing, and product support strategiesSupport software release readiness reviews, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile technical reviewsPerform technical trade studies evaluating cost, schedule, performance, interoperability, and cybersecurity risks to optimize software capabilitiesIdentify and communicate software development risks, schedule impacts, and configuration management concerns throughout the software lifecycleAssess contractor software development activities and provide independent recommendations regarding software engineering, testing, cybersecurity, architecture, and overall program executionReview software, cybersecurity, interoperability, and testing deliverables including CDRLs and ADRLs while providing recommendations to Government program leadershipSupport Program Officers, Assistant Program Managers, systems engineering, and test organizations across both acquisition programs and prototype effortsPlan, facilitate, and document Integrated Product Team meetings, technical working groups, and other program meetings, including agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up trackingQualificationsMinimum QualificationsActive Secret security clearancebachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline with at least eight years of relevant experience ORbachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related discipline with at least ten years of relevant experienceExperience supporting Agile software development and DevSecOps environmentsExperience planning, managing, or implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated software testingExperience with modern software architectures including cloud-native and microservices-based applicationsProficiency with Agile Lifecycle Management and DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, and ConfluenceExperience developing software testing strategies, automated test frameworks, and continuous Test & Evaluation processesExperience preparing technical documentation including interface control documents (ICDs), APIs, software requirements, or systems engineering artifactsStrong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Department of Defense software acquisition programsKnowledge of DoDI 5000.87 Software Acquisition PathwayFamiliarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity requirementsExperience supporting CBRN, command and control, or Joint Service software development programsExperience with automated testing, interoperability testing, and DevSecOps pipeline automationExperience supporting software-intensive acquisition programs within an Agile environmentAdditional InformationBryceTech offers a full range of benefits, including competitive salary, a comprehensive health plan including dental and vision coverage, company-paid life & disability insurance policies, 401(k) plan with company match, and an educational reimbursement program.
