Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our innovative software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our cutting-edge applications across multiple platforms. Your expertise will drive the development of robust testing strategies, automation frameworks, and continuous integration processes that elevate our product standards. Duties Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API applications, ensuring coverage of functional, performance, and usability aspects. Automate testing processes using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to streamline QA workflows. Perform manual testing for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, including user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate real-world usability. Conduct system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and load testing with tools like LoadRunner and Performance Center to verify application stability under various conditions. Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts during requirements gathering to understand project scope and define clear test cases aligned with business needs. Utilize defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM to document issues accurately, track defect lifecycle, and facilitate prompt resolution. Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps to ensure seamless release cycles and quality assurance throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Qualifications Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall. Proficiency in automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), or similar tools; scripting skills in Python or JavaScript are highly desirable. Hands-on experience with mobile testing on Android and iOS devices; familiarity with Appium or similar automation tools is preferred. Strong knowledge of APIs (RESTful Web Services & SOAP), SQL databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or DB2 for data validation and backend testing. Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN; experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Ability to perform root cause analysis through debugging techniques and data analysis skills to identify issues efficiently. Experience working with defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM; understanding of QA test planning, test case design, and QA/QC processes. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to technical support and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
