Job Description
We are seeking an experienced UAT Test Lead to oversee testing for a large-scale ERP/technology modernization project involving payroll and human resources systems. This role will be responsible for developing the testing strategy, organizing preparation efforts, and coordinating with business and technical teams to ensure the system is ready for user acceptance testing. Strong leadership, organization, and the ability to keep testing activities on schedule are essential. This position is full-time and expected to last through early-mid 2027. Onsite in Jackson, MS, with some hybrid flexibility. Responsibilities Develop and manage the UAT strategy, testing plans, schedules, and preparation activities. Coordinate with business testing leads, project leadership, and technical teams to ensure UAT readiness. Oversee the development of test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements. Ensure test cases are aligned with requirements and existing system functionality. Organize testing resources, test data, and system environments needed for UAT. Lead testing activities, monitor progress, and address issues that could affect project deadlines. Coordinate defect tracking, resolution, and retesting with project teams. Oversee regression testing to confirm existing payroll and HR functionality is maintained. Provide testing updates, identify risks, and coordinate final UAT acceptance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years experience leading user acceptance testing or business application testing. Strong knowledge of UAT planning, test case development, and defect management. 3+ years experience coordinating testing activities across business and technical teams. Understanding of requirements traceability, regression testing, and business process validation. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar testing tools preferred. Experience with payroll, HRIS, ERP, or system modernization projects preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Compensation $60-$75/hour, depending on experience.
