Platinum Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our company to support the program by ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of software deliverables. The QA Engineer will follow a structured QA process workflow, from ticket creation to final deployment, collaborating with project managers and developers to uphold exceptional quality standards. This role requires an active Secret clearance. The position will be at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. What you get to do. Perform exploratory testing in the QA environment. Log issues and improvement opportunities in GitLab, utilizing established reporting and tracking methods alongside customer submissions. Monitor ticket progression, verifying assignments by the Project Manager and tracking status within GitLab throughout the workflow. Test completed development items deployed to the QA environment according to requirements. Evaluate tickets originating both from customers and internal QA findings. Review and validate fixes on reopened tickets, coordinating rework cycles with developers as needed. Ensure all corrections meet quality standards prior to advancement. Provide formal approval for items passing QA, facilitating deployment to the production environment for end-user accessibility. Work closely with developers and project managers to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and communicate quality findings. Maintain clear documentation at each stage of the QA workflow. Required Skills. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum seven (7+) years of QA engineering experience, preferably in environments using GitLab or similar ticketing systems. Active Secret Clearance Experience conducting exploratory, functional, and regression testing. Strong understanding of QA processes, lifecycle management, and Agile workflows.
