About the Role As a Test Engineer at Rocket EMS, you play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and compliance of Class 3 aerospace PCB assemblies , where failure is not an option. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and supporting in-circuit, functional, and system-level test strategies that verify assemblies meet stringent customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role demands deep attention to detail, disciplined execution, and a strong understanding of aerospace-grade electronics manufacturing. You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to support both NPI and high-reliability production builds, ensuring test coverage, traceability, and repeatability across all programs. Class 3 aerospace requirements . Develop, execute, and support ICT, functional, boundary scan, and system-level test processes for complex PCB assemblies. Perform electrical, functional, and performance verification to ensure assemblies meet all Class 3 aerospace quality, reliability, and workmanship standards . Analyze test failures, isolate root causes, and collaborate with Engineering and Rework teams to drive effective debug and corrective actions. Ensure all test equipment, fixtures, and programs are properly validated, calibrated, and controlled per aerospace and internal quality standards. Accurately document test results, failures, deviations, and corrective actions to maintain full traceability and audit readiness . Enforce strict adherence to ESD, MSD, safety, and handling protocols required for high-reliability aerospace hardware. Support NPIs, engineering builds, and first-article validations by providing test feedback, coverage assessments, and risk identification. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on test yield, coverage, throughput, and long-term product reliability. Provide clear daily pass-downs and technical communication to leads, supervisors, quality, and engineering teams. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent (required). Technical degree or coursework in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred). Experience 1-3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing test, preferably in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries . Hands-on experience with ICT, functional test, boundary scan, or system-level testing. Experience supporting Class 3 assemblies or regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Skills Solid understanding of electronics theory and complex PCB assemblies. Working knowledge of

Class 3 workmanship and quality expectations. Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other diagnostic instruments. Ability to read and interpret schematics, test procedures, and engineering documentation. Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data analysis and reporting. Effective communicator able to collaborate across Test, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
