Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Senior QA Analyst Buffalo Computer Graphics — Blasdell, NY or Guilderland, NY (On-site) We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst for our web-based Incident Management System. In this role, you will focus on exploratory, functional, and system integration testing to evaluate software performance. The ability to follow complex and detailed instructions precisely is key. You will use your analytical skills to run root cause analysis, uncover edge cases, and ensure our results are consistent and reliable.
Key Responsibilities Functional & Regression Testing:
Execute thorough testing procedures and push system boundaries to identify complex defects.
Defect Documentation:
Author clear, detailed bug reports with exact steps to reproduce, helping developers diagnose and resolve issues rapidly.
Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance to junior testers.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Background:
Familiarity with web browsers, mobile devices, and common programs like Word and Excel.
Reading Comprehension:
Ability to analyze ambiguous technical documentation and product specifications to extract exact testing requirements. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to identify subtle user interface inconsistencies, workflow friction points, and system mismatches.
Problem Solving:
Ability to investigate the underlying causes of complex system failures to provide developers with actionable context.
Communication Skills:
Ability to translate technical issues into clear business impacts and collaborate directly with engineers and product owners.
Technical Writing Ability:
Ability to precisely write up test results in a manner that can be understood and followed by other teams and team members.
Experience:
5+ years of dedicated software testing experience.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications Advanced Technical Background:
A Basic knowledge of programming and SQL.
Education:
A Computer Science background or degree in a related field.
Eligibility:
This role requires U.S. citizenship as a condition of our U.S. Department of Defense contract — both for physical access to client sites and for access to contract-controlled information (NOFORN dissemination control). You must also be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Secret); an active clearance isn't required to start, and we sponsor it as your responsibilities grow. Compensation & benefits: $65,000-$75,000 annually. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance (BCG covers 80% of the standard plan, effective on your first day with no waiting period); company-paid dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability coverage; a 401(k) with company match; 11 paid holidays plus paid vacation and sick/personal time; a tuition assistance program (up to$5,250/year); and pre-tax FSA/HSA options.
