Job Description
Job Summary The Lead II - Software Testing role is responsible for driving enterprise-level testing strategy and execution across complex healthcare systems. This position requires deep knowledge of Elevance Health systems, including EDP Member, Benefits, WGS, ISG, Spider, WPD, Accum ODS, and related platforms. The role leads test planning, quality governance, automation strategy, and hands-on validation across multiple phases of testing, ensuring high-quality delivery in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Understand and clearly articulate business and technical problems addressed by the product or application under test. Break down complex requirements into clear, testable scenarios. Define testing strategy, master test plans, and end-to-end test schedules. Lead and oversee testing across Component, Integration, UAT, and Production phases. Set quality direction, expectations, and governance across multiple teams. Identify test data needs and create synthetic/mock test data when required. Drive automated testing initiatives with strong expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or IBM RFT. Apply advanced automation frameworks including Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Page Object Model. Develop automation scripts using Python or Core Java; contribute to Vibe coding as needed. Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data validation or test automation use cases. Work within Agile/Scrum teams and manage the full test and defect lifecycle. Use test management and defect tracking tools to maintain visibility and ensure closure of issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery. Work independently, solve problems efficiently, and perform effectively under pressure. Provide clear communication across teams while maintaining transparency and a quality-first mindset. Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. Must have Elevance Health system knowledge across domains such as EDP Member, Benefits, WGS, ISG, Spider, WPD, Accum ODS, etc. Strong ability to analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into testable scenarios. Expertise in defining test strategy, planning, scheduling, and leading testing across all phases.
Proficiency in automation tools:
Selenium, Cucumber, IBM RFT, or similar. Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (Data-Driven, Hybrid, Page Object Model). Hands-on scripting experience in Python or Core Java. Experience with Vibe coding and Python libraries including Pandas and NumPy. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, test lifecycle, and defect management. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication and strong teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to lead testing strategy across large-scale programs. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting complex healthcare or enterprise transformation programs.
