Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer for an On-site position with a Major Financial Institution located in Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
Operating in a global delivery model, this role brings strategic direction to testing and acts as the subject matter expert for both the quality discipline and a line of business domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kafka environments and building automation scripts for end-to-end flow in a BDD framework.
Responsibilities:
Describe end-to-end data flow in a Kafka environment
Troubleshoot Kafka messages and events
Handle lags, reset offsets, and read Kafka Topics
Build automation scripts for end-to-end flow in a BDD framework
Lead the review of testing artifacts throughout the product life-cycle to ensure appropriate sign-off and prioritization of testing work
Coordinate test strategy, scripting, and defect resolution
Take accountability for quality standards in the development, implementation, and upkeep of test scripts and opportunities for automation
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience leading quality assurance projects/programs
- Experience with data integrity, reconciliations, and creating transactions
- Strong scripting knowledge and experience with code management (CI/CD pipeline)
- Proven ability to analyze failures in automated test cases
- Experience testing huge volumes of data (millions of records)
- Strong analytical thinking and quality assurance (QA) skills
Desired skills:
Experience with BDD frameworks such as Karate, Cucumber, or Rest Assured
Pay range: $40.42 - $48.42 per hour
