Learn More About EAS Job Purpose The Quality Engineer performs activities that ensure customer contractual compliance, continual quality improvements to products, services, and systems; and corporate compliance to
ISO9001/AS9100.
Activities are focused around assembling, analyzing and monitoring data for trends, events, and opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical unbiased voice to and from the customer regarding Quality matters and expectationsResponsible for FAI, customer and government source inspectionsCreating product and process quality plansDetermines the controls on production devices directly affecting the quality of the productReview changes to the product, processes and materialsReviews Drawings (that include GD&T) and process instructions for accuracy, risk and completenessAssist/resolve Quality in-process issuesLead and/or facilitate the resolution of quality issues utilizing the 7 QC toolsMonitors product/process performance for trends in efforts to prevent the generation of defective material or opportunities for improvementSupports product developmentAdministers internal and external quality and or process auditsCommunicates with external providers to provide a clear understanding of the quality expectations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related fieldFamiliar with ISO9001 Quality Management System standard (AS9100 is a plus)Adept with standard measuring equipment.
Working knowledge of statistical process control techniques.
Working knowledge of 7 QC toolsExperienced in modern RCCA (root cause/corrective action) techniques.
