Automation Developer Team LeadLocation:
Remote SummaryTarpon Health is seeking an Agentic Automation Developer to design, build, and deploy automation solutions that combine RPA and AI agents to solve complex problems in healthcare operations and revenue cycle management. This is a hands-on technical role where RPA development and agentic AI carry equal weight. You will build traditional rule-based automations with the same care and discipline you bring to LLM-powered agents, and you will connect the two into hybrid solutions that are reliable in production. You will work closely with clients, program executives, solution architects, and internal teams to deliver solutions that integrate rule-based RPA with intelligent agentic reasoning, and you will contribute reusable components and frameworks that help the team deliver faster across projects. Key ResponsibilitiesAgent Design & DevelopmentDesign and build agentic workflows that orchestrate tools, APIs, and data sources to complete multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention.

Develop agents using LLM-based frameworks integrated with RPA platforms.

Build and manage tool-use layers, including API integrations, document parsers, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and decision logic.

Define human-in-the-loop handoff points and escalation logic to ensure agents operate safely and reliably in production.

Continuously optimize agent performance by improving output consistency and accuracy through prompt and context engineering, evaluation harnesses, and structured output validation, while reducing token consumption and latency to keep agents cost-effective at scale.

RPA & Automation DevelopmentDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable RPA solutions using UiPath, applying best practices such as REFramework, credential management, queuing, exception handling, and logging.

Integrate RPA components with AI agents to create hybrid workflows, and identify which parts of a process are best handled by rule-based automation versus intelligent reasoning.

Monitor both RPA and agentic automations in production, maintaining reliability and minimizing downtime across all solution types.

Client Engagement & DeliveryCollaborate with clients to understand process requirements, document use cases, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Support testing, UAT, and go-live activities, providing documentation and knowledge transfer to client teams.

Communicate status, blockers, and risks clearly to project leads and stakeholders.

Innovation & Continuous LearningStay current on emerging agentic AI tools, frameworks, and RPA platform capabilities, and share findings through demos, prototypes, or internal documentation.

Contribute to the development of reusable components, accelerators, and internal tooling to improve delivery speed and solution quality.

Educate clients and internal teams on RPA, automation best practices, and agentic AI concepts. Required Qualifications2+ years of hands-on experience developing automation solutions using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate, or similar platforms.

Experience in Revenue Cycle and/or healthcare related industries Demonstrated experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering, function calling, tool use, and agent orchestration.

Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or LlamaIndex.

Proficiency in Python and/or C# for integration, scripting, and custom component development.

Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and system integration patterns.

Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex or ambiguous problems across both RPA and agentic AI solution types.

Comfort working in a client-facing, consulting-style environment. Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and document intelligence tools.

Familiarity with common healthcare EDI transactions such as 835 and 277.Experience integrating with EHR systems or healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR).
Comfort with rapid experimentation:
prototype, learn, and iterate, whether on an RPA process or an agentic workflow.
