Job Description

LabVIEW Test Engineer - REMOTE Job Description We are seeking a skilled LabVIEW Test (Test Fixture and Hardware Integration Engineer) to design and build configurable test fixtures for module cards, including FPGA-only, FPGA with software, and mixed I/O configurations. This role involves creating interfaces that enable IV&V to stimulate, monitor, and verify card behavior without relying on complete system setups. The engineer will handle various interfaces such as digital, analog, communications, and backplane/chassis connections, as well as support debug processes at the signal level when behavior doesn't meet expectations. Additionally, the role requires developing light automation using tools like Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand to ensure testing is repeatable and usable across the team, while translating IV&V needs into practical, usable hardware setups. Responsibilities Design and build configurable test fixtures for module cards. Create interfaces for IV&V to stimulate, monitor, and verify card behavior. Manage a range of interfaces, including digital, analog, communications, and backplane/chassis connections. Support signal-level debugging when expected behavior is not observed. Develop light automation using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar tools. Translate IV&V needs into practical and reusable hardware setups. Essential Skills Proficiency in hardware testing and hardware design. Experience with physical testing of hardware. End-to-end hardware design skills. Competency in LabVIEW, Python, and/or TestStand. Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Experience with hardware-in-the-loop or embedded systems testing. Familiarity with FPGA board-level testing. Experience in custom test equipment or fixture development. Strong lab and debug experience with scopes, logic analyzers, etc. Work Environment The role involves working in a lab environment with a focus on creating and testing hardware configurations. The engineer will use various tools and equipment such as scopes, logic analyzers, and specialized software for automation and testing. The position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to meet testing and verification needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $63.41 - $63.41/hr.
