The purpose of this role is to go beyond basic testing and proactively identify complex issues in our applications to ensure a seamless and accurate experience for our clients. The analyst is responsible for owning testing efforts for new features and complex integrations, leading to a more robust and scalable product. The desired outcome is a higher level of product quality that minimizes post-launch issues, solidifies client trust, and contributes to the long-term success of our document delivery solutions. Responsibilities The responsibilities for this position include the following: Design and execute more complex test cases, including performance, load, and stress testing. Enhance and maintain automated testing scripts and frameworks. Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Perform detailed root cause analysis for production failures and suggest process improvements. Develop and maintain test documentation, ensuring traceability and alignment with business requirements. Assist in training and mentoring level 1 QA Analysts. Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and methodologies. Competencies and Qualities Qualified candidates must have the following competencies and qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced understanding of QA methodologies and tools Able to manage multiple testing projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency Education, Experience, and Certifications Required Bachelor's Degree in a computer science, software engineering, or information technology related field and/or relevant experience 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing Proficient with test automation tools and scripting languages Strong understanding of SQL, relational data, and test management tools Experience in performance testing and root cause analysis Experience with Jira and/or other ticketing system Preferred Experience managing projects and holding people accountable Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments Knowledge of data composition tools such as Quadient Inspire/GMC Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but may mentor and guide level 1 analysts. Work Environment Work will be performed in an HC3 office or remote office space. If approved for remote work, the home office must be appropriate for focused work without distractions and in compliance with the Remote Work and Access Policy. Fully remote employees will be required to occasionally travel to the main Irondale, AL office for critical team meetings. Travel This position requires little to no travel. This role may be required to occasionally travel to an HC3 office for team meetings. Physical Demand This role will require using a computer for long periods of time while either sitting or standing. Position Type and Expected Hours This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (at least 40 hours) per week. Typical workdays begin at 8:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, and include a one-hour lunch break, circumstances may require night and weekend work in order to remain available for area(s) of oversight.
