Quality Assurance Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related position.

DESCRIPTION

Be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through the design, execution, and maintenance of comprehensive testing strategies. Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans, covering functional, performance, integration, and end-to-end testing. Execute manual and automated tests, meticulously documenting test results and identifying defects. Log, track, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools. Conduct performance and security testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks. Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies. Work closely with development, product, and other teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 2 years of experience designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications using Java, JavaScript, and C#.
• 1 year of experience designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications using Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, and NUnit.
• 1 year of experience integrating automated test suites into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• 2 years of experience performing manual testing and managing test cases and results.
• 2 years of experience testing applications across multiple platforms and devices.
• 1 year of experience testing applications across multiple browsers (including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge).
• 1 year of experience testing applications on Roku OS and devices on smart TV.
• 2 years of experience validating backend data integrity through database and API testing.
• 1 year of experience with Agile software development methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States is allowed.
