2 Position Overview We are seeking experienced Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) with strong Core Java expertise to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions across UI, API, and backend systems. This is a true engineering role , not manual QA. Successful candidates will demonstrate deep Java programming fundamentals , object‑oriented design principles, and the ability to write production‑quality automation code that scales with complex enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Test Automation & Engineering Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based automation frameworks for: UI testing API testing Backend and data‑layer validation Apply Core Java and OOP principles to build clean, reusable, and maintainable test code Prepare, execute, and maintain test cases based on user stories and business requirements Construct end‑to‑end test scenarios aligned with business workflows and objectives API, Database & Backend Testing Perform API testing using Java‑based frameworks (e.g., REST automation libraries) Validate backend functionality using

JDBC/JPA

Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries for data validation Work with relational databases such as: Oracle DB2 Snowflake Quality, Risk & Delivery Track test execution progress and report risks or issues that may impact timelines Document defects thoroughly and drive them to closure Maintain process compliance and required documentation Align testing practices with risk and control standards, escalating issues appropriately Collaboration & Product Understanding Develop a deep understanding of the product under test Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders Required Qualifications Core Java (Must‑Have) Strong proficiency in Core Java , including: Collections Framework Exception Handling Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts Streams and Lambda expressions Ability to write clean, efficient, production‑quality Java code Automation & Tooling Hands‑on experience with Java‑based automation frameworks , such as: Selenium TestNG JUnit Experience with build and dependency management tools : Maven Gradle Experience with API automation and backend validation Strong SQL skills for data‑driven testing Preferred Qualifications Experience testing enterprise‑scale applications Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution Knowledge of risk‑based testing and quality metrics Experience working in Agile environments Key Skills & Competencies Core Java Engineering & OOP Design Test Automation Architecture API & Database Testing SQL & Data Validation Strong Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills Clear Communication & Cross‑Team Collaboration Ideal Candidate Profile Engineer‑first mindset with strong Core Java fundamentals Comfortable debugging Java code and understanding application internals Writes automation code with the same discipline as production software Proactive problem solver who takes ownership of quality outcomes Thrives in fast‑paced, collaborative environments Dexian stands at the forefront of Talent + Technology solutions with a presence spanning more than 70 locations worldwide and a team exceeding 10,000 professionals.
