Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to support middleware and systems integration testing within an automotive environment. This role works closely with developers to validate new features, build test strategies, and ensure high-quality software delivery into manufacturing. You'll be hands-on with both software and physical vehicle systems, contributing to testing across networked systems, middleware, and diagnostics. ? Key Responsibilities Partner with developers to understand feature requirements and define test strategies Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts Execute testing across middleware, APIs, and networked systems Run software builds on test benches and vehicle platforms Perform system integration and end-to-end testing Document and report results using test management tools Contribute to automated reporting and test frameworks Support testing in prototype and manufacturing environments Validate updates prior to release into production Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days onsite in Dearborn, MI Occasional travel (~30 minutes) to nearby manufacturing/testing facilities Hands-on work with prototype vehicles and test benches Collaborative team environment with developers and QA engineers We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 8-10+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing Strong experience in system integration and end-to-end testing Proficiency in Python for test scripting and automation Experience with API and middleware testing Solid understanding of networking concepts (IP, system-level communication) Experience writing test cases and automation from scratch Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail or similar) • Experience in the automotive industry Exposure to vehicle systems, diagnostics, or embedded environments Experience working with physical hardware or prototype systems
