6 Months Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of Voice over IP (VoIP) software applications, particularly those integrated with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems . The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience across Windows and Linux environments , virtualization technologies, networking fundamentals, and test automation practices. This is a hybrid position based in Allen, Texas, requiring in-office attendance three days per week. Key Responsibilities Collaborate within an Agile development environment to ensure software quality across the full development lifecycle. Participate in design and functional requirements reviews, including the development and presentation of comprehensive test plans. Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing . Partner closely with development teams during design phases to ensure features meet established testability standards. Identify testing automation gaps and actively contribute to expanding and improving automation coverage. Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging testing tools and technologies. Demonstrate the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams. Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Core Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual and/or automated software testing within Agile environments. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the following areas: Fundamental understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Testing within Windows Server environments Utilization of tools such as Python, PowerShell, Jenkins, Ansible, or Selenium Log analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark Experience with virtualization platforms such as ESXi or

RHEL-KVM

Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Agile management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps . Demonstrated experience developing test plans and test cases using tools such as TestRail or Azure DevOps . Preferred Qualifications Experience with analog or digital Push-to-Talk (PTT) radio systems Familiarity with security-focused practices, including: Vulnerability scanning (e.g., Nessus) System hardening Secure design and security review processes
