The Part-Time District Testing Coordinator advances the mission, vision, and core values of NYOS Charter School by managing the campus assessment program. This position ensures 100% of students receive high-quality, secure, and compliant testing environments for all district & state (STAAR/TELPAS). Working a reduced-hour schedule, the coordinator manages testing logistics, oversees test security, collaborates with special populations leads, and acts as the primary campus liaison for assessment administration.Primary Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Logistics Train Campus Testing Coordinators and Administrative Staff Create, finalize, and communicate campus testing plans and schedules for all local, state, and national assessments to school leadership, teachers, staff, students, and families. Partner with the campus IT technician to verify all computers used for online testing are updated, functional, and ready prior to test days. Ensure all applicable campus staff and students have correct system access for online testing platforms. Build testing room arrangements, create master rosters, and manage necessary document reproduction. Material Management & Preparation Maintain correct data in the Cambium TIDE Platform & enter requested testing accommodations. Prepare 100% of testing bins 72 hours in advance of testing dates, ensuring small-group accommodations and supplemental materials are fully prepared. Order, receive, track, and process all local & state assessment materials following district and state guidelines. Review all testing bin contents with test administrators two days prior to test administration to ensure proper implementation. Complete on-time execution of all requested assessment deliverables, including student counts, computer needs, and data reporting. Test Security, Auditing & Special Populations Maintain total integrity and security of all local, state, and national assessments. Partner with SPED, LPAC/EB, Section 504, andMTSS/RTI
coordinators to audit all student accommodations and materials prior to test dates. Audit 100% of paper state test booklets and answer documents with a trained lead team member to ensure demographic and student data accuracy before return. Assist campus administration with investigating test irregularities, writing required reports, and resolving coding errors as needed. Training, Compliance & Communication Attend all scheduled training sessions, review testing manuals, and maintain active participation in assigned testing coordinator networks and updates. Design and deliver mandatory test security and administration training to campus staff and test administrators. Maintain complete, accurate, and organized hard-copy and electronic assessment records, files, and reports in compliance with federal, state, and charter policy. General Duties Serve as the principal-appointed ACT, PreACT, or AP Coordinator as needed. Perform other testing-related duties as assigned by campus leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred) Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Preferred) Valid Texas Educator Certification (Preferred)Professional Requirements:
Charter/K-12School Experience:
Prior experience in a Texas public charter school, ISD, or similar K-12 educational environment preferred.Special Populations Compliance:
Demonstrated working knowledge of testing accommodations for SPED, Section 504, Emergent Bilingual/LPAC, andMTSS/RTI
programs.Data & Office Systems:
High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), student information systems (SIS), and online tracking/reporting tools.Compensation and Benefits:
