Join us as we build the ultimate ecosystem for financial literacy and long-term growth. About the Role We're looking for a QA Engineer to own quality across Dollarwise. This isn't a "run test cases" role. You'll build the systems that ensure everything we ship works the way it should, especially when real people are relying on it to make better financial decisions. This role is critical to ensuring our products are reliable, scalable, and deliver a seamless user experience at every touchpoint. You'll partner closely with the Head of Engineering, product, and a small group of senior engineers to architect the testing infrastructure, uncover edge cases, and drive issues to resolution. You'll own projects end-to-end—from shaping how we test to what gets deployed—and you'll see your work impact users quickly.

What You'll Do:

Build and own the end-to-end testing framework. You're responsible for making sure what we ship works—consistently, reliably, and at scale Design and own our testing framework across mobile and backend Leverage AI tools to rapidly generate test cases and edge scenarios Support regression testing and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, AWS) so bad builds never make it out Continuously improve how we test, what we test, and how confident we are every time we ship Raise the standard of the codebase—clean abstractions, comprehensive testing, and code reviews that push quality higher with every commit Requirements You've built or owned testing systems—not just executed them Strong experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Vitest, etc.) Experience with automated testing in mobile apps Comfortable testing APIs (Postman, RestAssured, or similar) Familiar with CI/CD and modern deployment workflows You think in edge cases and failure modes, not just happy paths Highly detail-oriented, but fast—you don't sacrifice speed or quality You take ownership. You don't wait to be told what to test—you figure out what matters Solid understanding of security best practices, especially around authentication, authorization, and protecting sensitive data Benefits We are an in-office team in East Austin because we believe the best ideas happen when we're in the same room.
