Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SWET) with strong expertise in test automation, quality engineering, and modern software development practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable testing solutions, developing automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. This role requires hands-on experience in test automation, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and collaboration within Agile teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs, and data validation.
- Develop and enhance scalable test automation frameworks supporting unit, component, integration, functional, and performance testing.
- Create and implement comprehensive QA strategies for web and API-based applications.
- Perform end-to-end validation of application functionality, integrations, and data quality.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed with quality, testability, security, and maintainability in mind.
- Build and maintain CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Support code branching, merges, version control, build management, and release processes.
- Participate in test planning, test case development, defect management, and root cause analysis activities.
- Contribute to application performance testing, chaos testing, security testing, and cloud-based testing initiatives.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues using observability and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release quality, deployment efficiency, and production stability.
- Evaluate, recommend, and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and quality engineering best practices.
- Support accessibility testing and validation to ensure inclusive user experiences.
- Utilize AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-9 years of experience in software test automation for web applications, APIs, and data validation.
- Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and QA strategies.
- Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, JUnit, TestNG, and Maven.
- Experience testing web applications built with Angular.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Insomnia, Bruno, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, including Jenkins.
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket (Stash), and SourceTree.
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and Xray.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and testing methodologies for web applications.
- Experience supporting deployment automation and orchestration processes.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, quality engineering practices, and testability concepts.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge of financial services or wealth management technology environments.
- Experience with chaos testing, performance testing, and security testing.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience supporting cloud migration and cloud-native application testing initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
