Test & Evaluation Lead Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. 401(k) United States, Utah, Hill Air Force Base 7981 Georgia Street (Show on map) Jul 25, 2026 Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Test & Evaluation (T&E) Subject Matter Expert to support advanced defense system development and evaluation activities. This position is located at Hill AFB, UT. Position Overview This role requires extensive experience with DoD Test & Evaluation (T&E) policies, processes, and frameworks. The T&E SME will guide developmental and operational testing activities, support the creation of test methodologies and tools, and collaborate across internal teams to ensure highquality, rigorous evaluation of complex systems, with an emphasis on digital and cyber capabilities. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive test plans outlining objectives, methods, resources, and schedules
  • Design detailed test procedures and performance evaluation metrics
  • Coordinate and oversee test execution, ensuring required resources, equipment, and personnel are available
  • Manage data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting
  • Identify and document deficiencies, performance issues, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings clearly to technical and program stakeholders
  • Ensure all test activities comply with applicable standards, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop associated mitigation strategies
  • Integrate lessons learned into future test plans and methodologies
  • Provide mentorship and training related to T&E best practices
  • Support system integration, interoperability assessments, and operationally focused field testing
  • Oversee testing in realistic environments to evaluate reliability, durability, readiness, and performance
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure alignment between design intent and test outcomes Required Qualifications
  • 20 years of Test & Evaluation experience
  • Selfstarter able to work independently in a dynamic, fastpaced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple technical disciplines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and timemanagement abilities Desired Attributes
  • Extensive prior experience supporting complex or highconsequence defense systems
  • Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in T&E planning, execution, and analysis
  • Experience in unit or organizational leadership roles within technical or operational environments Education Requirements
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline; engineering preferred Clearance Requirements
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility
