Description Join our team and help shape how millions of people interact with Alexa devices through thoughtful, scalable automated testing. You'll translate product vision into automated test strategies that ensure exceptional user experiences, working at the intersection of product, engineering, and design to deliver features that delight customers. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies that align with product vision and customer use cases, working closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, and User Experience design teams
- Design and implement automated test frameworks that enable teams to scale testing efforts and maintain quality across regression testing cycles
- Leverage AI-powered testing tools to efficiently test features, identify issues, and streamline the debugging and triage process
- Execute both manual and automated testing against developed test plans, ensuring features meet quality standards before customer release
- Contribute to the team's technical vision by identifying automation opportunities to improve toolchains, automation capabilities, and testing methodologies, enabling CI/CD for releases A day in the life As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll focus on building tools that eases the test process and automating the test across our Alexa device ecosystem.
- 4+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
