Staff members will work live basketball games and tournaments throughout Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, and the San Fernando Valley . This is a hands-on basketball statistics position , not a data science or statistical analysis position. Staff members will track and record live game statistics including points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, and shooting statistics. Training will be provided. Previous experience keeping basketball statistics is preferred but not required. Duties Track statistics during live basketball games Accurately record points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, and other game statistics Enter live statistics into basketball stat software Communicate statistics to other members of the stats crew Review and verify box scores for accuracy Assist with team rosters and game setup Help set up and break down statistical equipment/workstations Work basketball tournaments that may include multiple games in one day Arrive on time and remain professional around players, coaches, officials, and event staff Skills Strong knowledge of basketball rules and terminology Ability to recognize basketball statistics in real time Good attention to detail Prior experience with Genius Sports and/or Presto Sports is highly preferred Ability to stay focused during fast-paced games Basic computer and technology skills Strong communication skills Dependable and punctual Ability to work independently and as part of a stats crew Willingness to learn basketball statistics software Weekend and tournament availability Join Gamebook Stats Inc. as a Basketball Stats Tracker and become part of a team working live basketball games and events throughout Southern California.
