Description We're seeking a Research Engineer to bridge the critical gap between cutting-edge ML research and production-ready solutions. You'll transform research prototypes into robust, deployable systems that end users can confidently put into production. This role uniquely combines software engineering, DevOps practices, and ML solution delivery. Develop evaluation methodologies and experimental designs for assessing model and agent performance, including capability, reliability, and limitation analyses. Conduct reviews of current state-of-the-art AI/ML evaluation methods and emerging techniques to inform approach selection. Define and document evaluation criteria, success metrics, and assessment rationale in partnership with the Data Scientists. Assess candidate models and agentic systems and produce written technical findings and recommendations. Author technical reports, evaluation plans, and decision-support documentation for stakeholders. Clearance A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position. Experience Six years' experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field or four years' experience and a Master's degree or zero years' experience and a PhD. Required skills: Python FastAPI JavaScript / TypeScript React Docker Kubernetes Git CI/CD tools REST APIs MongoDB Cloud platforms or deployment environments Testing frameworks Collaboration tools like Jira or Confluence Benefits Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $210,000 - $230,000.
