In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer systems that support our business operations. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable solutions, optimize IT infrastructure, and ensure system security. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of technology, collaborating across departments to deliver robust, efficient, and secure systems that empower our organization to succeed. Duties Analyze current computer systems and develop strategies for system improvements aligned with business needs. Design and implement system architecture solutions utilizing Service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture principles, and microservices frameworks. Manage and optimize IT infrastructure components including operating systems, virtualization platforms like VMware and ESXi, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. Develop, test, and deploy APIs using RESTful services, SOAP protocols, and Web services to facilitate seamless data exchange across platforms. Conduct vulnerability assessments, system hardening, threat intelligence analysis, and implement security measures such as firewall configurations, VPNs, cloud security protocols, and system hardening techniques. Oversee database management tasks involving SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL databases, and data integration processes including ETL workflows. Collaborate with development teams utilizing DevOps practices with tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and continuous integration for efficient software delivery. Support system administration activities such as DHCP configuration, GPO management, DNS setup, load balancing strategies, and network security protocols including Cisco Meraki devices. Perform debugging of applications written in JavaScript, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, Shell Scripting, VBA, and other programming languages to troubleshoot issues effectively. Participate in system design discussions for new projects involving cloud computing architectures (Azure/AWS), virtualization strategies (VMware/ESXi), and quantum engineering concepts where applicable. Experience Proven experience working as a Computer Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a fast-paced technology environment. Strong understanding of systems engineering principles including system architecture design and system management best practices. Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Windows and Linux/Unix environments; familiarity with Windows Server administration is essential. Demonstrated expertise in network configuration including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco Meraki or equivalent), and Cisco/Juniper network devices. Proficiency with database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database; experience with T-SQL or PL/SQL is preferred. Familiarity with modern development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum; experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes is highly valued. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices including vulnerability management, threat intelligence analysis, system hardening techniques, and information security standards. Experience working with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes; understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi is a plus. Ability to develop scripts using Bash (Unix shell scripting), PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate tasks efficiently.
