Job Description

Description We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist to support a large-scale ERP/HCM implementation initiative. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in Business Systems Analysis, Data Migration, or System Configuration Analysis who have hands-on experience managing data migration activities across the full implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical data management capabilities, a disciplined approach to process and file governance, and the ability to perform detailed variance analysis—particularly in payroll-related data. This individual must also be comfortable operating in a structured client-facing environment with clear escalation protocols and high professional standards. Key Responsibilities + Execute data migration activities in support of large-scale ERP or HCM system implementations. + Build, maintain, and validate configuration data tables for target system setup. + Map legacy system values and structures to new system configurations and target-state data models. + Perform detailed payroll variance analysis to identify discrepancies, document findings, and group root causes into actionable categories. + Support data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution throughout migration and testing cycles. + Maintain strict version control and ensure adherence to mandatory peer QA checklist processes. + Manage operational follow-ups with clients while adhering to defined project communication and escalation protocols. + Track deliverables, updates, and issue status proactively to support project transparency and execution discipline. + Work effectively within a structured professional environment that emphasizes punctuality, professionalism, and consistency in execution. Requirements Required Qualifications + Experience in one or more of the following roles: Data Migration Specialist, Business Systems Analyst, System Configuration Analyst, or similar. + Hands-on experience supporting ERP and/or HCM implementation projects, including data migration lifecycle activities. + Strong experience with data mapping, data transformation, configuration table creation, and validation. + Demonstrated ability to conduct variance analysis, ideally related to payroll or other sensitive operational data. + Strong attention to detail with proven adherence to file hygiene, version control, and QA protocols. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage client interactions professionally and within established boundaries. + Ability to thrive in a highly structured project environment with clear standards for professionalism and accountability. Preferred Qualifications + Prior exposure to payroll data conversion, HRIS, ERP, or HCM platforms. + Experience working in environments with formal governance, escalation management, and project tracker ownership.
