Job Description Summary:
The Epic Willow System Analyst leads the design, configuration, testing, optimization, maintenance, and support of Epic Willow Inpatient/Ambulatory/Specialty Pharmacy application for Mount Sinai Medical Center. Acting as a primary technical contact and subject matter expert, this role bridges pharmacy workflows and IT systems, and oversees project builds.Key Responsibilities System Design & Implementation:
Lead the end-to-end planning, build, testing, and deployment of complex Epic Willow configurations to meet clinical and operational needs.Workflow & Process Optimization:
Partner with pharmacy leaders, clinicians, and key stakeholders to analyze work processes, translate business needs into technical requirements, and streamline pharmacy operations.System Maintenance & Support:
Serve as a primary support escalation point for system issues, perform troubleshooting/debugging, execute service tickets, and participate in on-call rotation schedules.Leadership & Team Mentorship:
Provide clinical guidance, training, and operational support to junior analysts while collaborating with clinical trainers on application updates and documentation.Project Leadership:
Manage small-to-medium IT initiatives, track project milestones, manage vendor/risk touchpoints, and maintain clear status reporting with leadership.Core Qualifications Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida.Certifications:
Active Epic Willow Certification (Inpatient, Ambulatory, or specialty pharmacy) preferred.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in clinical healthcare setting, retail pharmacy, or IT pharmacy systems support.Domain Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with retail or health-system pharmacy operations, clinical medication order workflows, dispensing procedures, and clinical monitoring. Technical & Professional Skills Proven project leadership, analytical problem-solving, and basic budget/vendor management awareness. Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels, including senior leadership. Ability to work flexible hours (special support or on-call) and travel locally for go-lives, rounding, or leadership meetings as needed.Benefits:
