Job Description

Position Summary, Communication Systems Analyst, Junior or Mid-Level Innovative Professional Solutions, Inc. (IPS)—a successful defense contractor located in Panama City Beach, Florida—has provided exceptional support to our Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) customers for 25 years. We are looking for a hard-charging, creative problem solver with fantastic communication and organizational skills to fill our Junior or Mid-Level Communication Systems Analyst position as part of a communications system team member. This person will provide operations and test support for an exciting Department of War (DoW) communications system project in support of the U.S. Navy. As this system continues to undergo upgrades to meet emergent real-world requirements, the Communication Systems Analyst will provide several areas of support to include supporting the on-going testing, contributing to procedure development and updates, and assist with checklists, reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations and flex to meet each day's challenges. A strong interest in unmanned systems, drone technology, and communication systems is a plus.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Participate in developing and updating test procedures, installation procedures, system procedures, test plans, test readiness checklists, test reports, and other technical documentation. Participate in various test events to include capturing data in logs, evaluating test results, and performing system audits (software and hardware) in government laboratories and outdoor environments. Assist with tracking Problem Change Reports (PCR) involving system development that can be tested during various testing events such as System Integration Test (SIT), System Qualification Test (SQT), and Communications Performance Requirement Verification Test (CPRT). Participate in a variety of meetings. Provides troubleshooting support to our government customers. Other duties as assigned, which could include assisting with shipments, identifying parts and part numbers, working with spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, etc. Provide input for weekly and monthly team reports.
Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree. Prior military or DoW civilian experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Current CompTIA Security+ Certificate. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired:
Minimum of one year of experience with—or an understanding of— unmanned Navy communication systems. Proficient and confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. An active Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance preferred.
Travel:
Some travel (up to 15%) will be required for this position.
Tools and Technology:
Various web-based tools will be used. Teams, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Some work will be conducted at IPS, with much of the work taking place at NSWC PCD or other locations. IPS is a drug-free employer. Proof of citizen will be required upon employment at IPS.
