IT Operations Support Intern

We are currently hiring an IT Operations Support Intern This is a seasonal full-time, on-site position at our Champaign IL location. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Internship will last roughly three months. Pay for this internship is $15-$18 an hour. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. The IT Operations Support Intern will support the IT operations team with their daily duties and assist management. They will gain hands on experience in technical support and IT operations. This role will provide exposure to real-world IT operations including but not limited to; ticket triage, user management, documentation and asset management. Roles & Responsibilities Assist with IT operations service desk ticket triage and documentation Complete system user audits Assist with asset management and hardware tracking Build knowledge base articles for reoccurring issues Work within Jira Service Management, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Management and Microsoft Active Directory Adhere to company policies and procedures related to data security and confidentiality Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the position Education & or Experience Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Knowledge of computer systems, networks and security concepts Scripting, PowerShell, Batch, Low Code/No Code Development Strong communication and documentation skills Problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Able to work independently as well as on a team Physical Demands Ability to lift 50lbs or more Capable of sitting or standing for multiple hours at a time H orizon Hobby is a progressive, innovative company and, as such, is constantly reevaluating and reinventing the processes and procedures associated with each job.
