Position Summary The Clinical Systems Application Analyst is an entry level implementation and support position for the Clinical Systems team. The analyst is required to gain and maintain certification in their assigned application(s), as well as demonstrate understanding of the application(s) and how it can be used/built to support the organization's care delivery processes, with a specific focus on the Electronic Health Record (EHR). The role of the Clinical Systems Application Analyst is to analyze, design, implement, and maintain their application(s). The position provides technical support to various end-users to ensure optimized use of their application(s) and associated system workflows. Core Job Responsibilities Attend required training and obtain/maintain Epic certification in their assigned application(s). Participate in all implementation activities, including planning, project coordination, device testing, site readiness, and coaching of end users. Provide technical support and problem resolution assistance to end-users of system applications, focusing on the introduction, acceptance, integration, and optimal use of their assigned application(s). Work with departmental and operational staff in one-on-one, group, and committee settings to analyze and resolve complex system issues. Present on new features and potential solutions to problems. Conduct system testing for new functionality, upgrades, special updates, and fixes to applications. Collaborate with operational/medical leadership and clinical governance to identify opportunities to support process improvements and improved health outcomes in our clinic operations, clinical practice, quality, and research initiatives. Provide support for these projects through project management, committee participation, and providing best practice advice. Work with departmental staff to support the Decision Support and Integration Services teams' clinical reports and interfaces. Analyze and document end-user needs for development and modification of systems; make scope and specification recommendations, following the systems development life cycle methodology to implement new functionality and upgrades to the system. Prioritize assigned tasks and projects based upon direction provided by manager. Maintain timely, effective, and appropriate communications/documentation. Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars. Apply this knowledge to subsequent tasks and impart to other Information Services and operational staff as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements/Preferences A high school diploma or GED is required Associate's degree in health - related, Computer Science, Information Systems, field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of direct work experience in healthcare related areas required . Epic certification in assigned applications(s) preferred. Previous experience presenting to and interacting with peer groups and committees in a regular workgroup setting desirable. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products required. ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. Depending on position applied/being recruited for, candidates may be required to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and provide supporting documentation proving that they are properly vaccinated, or apply for religious and/or medical vaccination exemption as a part of the application process. The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
