Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.
Serves in a "player coach" role by managing, reviewing and conducting the day-to-day work in a specific technical domain area; applies domain knowledge to develop solutions to problems.
Leverages technical knowledge of products to meet customer needs and understands market segments as well as market data trends.
Demonstrates a concern for accuracy and thoroughness so that sufficiently detailed information is logged correctly.
Ability to take instruction and independently execute on the directives.
Ability to read engineering drawings (network designs documents, rack elevations)
Knowledge of different testing hardware and software platforms
Knowledge of a broad range of network infrastructure cable types and best practices.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
This role includes assignment of work for specific WWT customers. Some customers have specific on-boarding requirements, including background check and drug testing requirements that go beyond WWT's requirements. Ability to meet these requirements may be necessary for continued employment, depending on needs of the department.

Compensation/ Benefits Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $19.50 an hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. A Brief OverviewThe Configuration Technician I role performs production level logical configurations and testing. This position follows detailed work instructions provided by Engineering team to accomplish tasks. This position also works cross-functionally with other teams within the Supply Chain organization. The Configuration Technician I role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities Configuration & testing of multiple vendor networking, wireless, telecom and collaboration devices.
Configuration & testing of core network storage and server technologies or general telecommunication products based on program needs
Implement knowledge and strong understanding of how the operations of the department impact other diverse work units.
Applies technical knowledge of product to ensure proper functionality and operation
Assist in the optimization of work instructions and further documentation
Assist in basic level troubleshooting process for defective devices, logical issues, or systematic errors on a wide range of technologies to ensure product is functional
Logical work to load OS (Operating system), loading license, and update firmware per customer requirements
Configure, upgrade, and test networking and telecom equipment (routers, switches, servers, wireless, voice, video, radio access network items based on program needs)
Use established tools to communicate task status on a continuous basis
Capture QC records and perform QC checks to validate logical configuration requirements
Complete physical audit of equipment and accessories
Understanding of installation and configuration instructions with various platforms of hardware and ensures accurate information capture
Provide input for the continual improvement of customer production solutions
