Job Summary/Basic Function Assist OIT leadership with a variety of campus technology initiatives and strategic projects. Assignments will be tailored to the graduate assistant's skills and interests, providing opportunities to gain hands-on experience in areas such as intranet development to enhance user engagement, analysis and improvement of inventory processes, research and benchmarking of IT governance practices at peer institutions, or implementation of enterprise services such as print management.
Specific Responsibilities Assist OIT leadership with planning, coordination, and execution of technology-related projects and initiatives.
Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Excel) to support collaboration, documentation, data analysis, and workflow improvement.
Conduct research and analysis on technology topics, including peer institution benchmarking, and develop summaries and recommendations for leadership review.
Create reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to communicate findings, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Identify and recommend enhancements to processes, systems, and user experiences across OIT services.
Support the development and maintenance of documentation, web content, and communication materials related to technology initiatives.
Collaborate with OIT staff and campus partners to gather requirements, test solutions, and support implementation efforts.
Participate in meetings, project discussions, and strategic planning activities to gain exposure to enterprise IT operations and decision-making.
Perform other related duties as assigned based on departmental priorities and the graduate assistant's skills and interests.
Work Schedule This is an on-campus position with 20 hrs per week within the office hours of Mon-Fri, 8am - 4:30pm.
