Job Description

CLARK Material Handling Company, is a 100 year old company, and a global leader in the material handling and forklift industry. CLARK is seeking qualified candidates to join our team.
POSITION OBJECTIVE/SUMMARY
The Product Configurator performs all configuration related tasks associated with building and maintaining product configurator models in the company Baan ERP and Salesforce order systems. Will apply extensive knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in the configuration management field to organize and/or support the CLARK BaaN/Salesforce Configuration System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead the development and implementation of ERP Configuration Management standards, processes, rules and generic price list in Baan and Salesforce. Lead root cause analysis of production configuration issues and develop plans to resolve issues. Designs configuration processes for ESQ's to insure trucks are built to correct specs and pricing. May need to work with engineering to understand ESQ options/features. Provides guidance and expertise to production on Custom Bill of Materials and allocations created by configuration process. Works with Product Specialists on price page changes to update in Salesforce and Baan. Responsible for setting up new models/options in Salesforce and resolve dealer issues in submitting quotes. Analyze, process and track Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to maintain Baan configuration rules. Review ECR/ECO for potential configuration/BOM issues and work with engineering to resolve. Learn and back up ECO Coordinator to finalize ECO's. Works in a data driven environment, drives process improvement, analyzes systematic issues and implements solutions to challenging problems. Provides technical recommendations to a wide variety of problems related to configuration and change management. Along with the ECO coordinator, coordinates the product changes within the engineering and manufacturing environment. Maintain the logic and rules that govern the Configurator to ensure that only technically viable product combinations are available and sales order pricing is accurate. Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the Configurator, to cover not just the information stored in the product lines, but also the mechanism of the Configurator itself. Maintains a synchronized, collaborative workflow through positive, courteous team interactions with cross functional teams - keeping all parties informed of issues, changes, challenges, delays, etc. Work closely with product development and marketing teams to launch new product and to translate their needs into the Configurator rules base. MINIMIUM QUALIFICATIONS
Have previous configuration experience with an ERP system (Preferrably BaaN and Salesforce, not required but highly desirable) Strong understanding of Items, BOM's (Engineering boms, Production boms, Customized boms, Planning boms, Generic boms), Model Structure, Rules. Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering (or related field equivalent); a minimum of 2 years of experience with configuration management. Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, project planning, presentation flow charts and spreadsheet software. Ability to update and maintain Baan software. Must also possess strong analytical skills and excellent systems skills/ adaptability. Proven attention to detail and organization is a MUST as well as strong oral and written communication skills Possess efficient time management, leadership and problem-solving skills. Crystal Report writing (not required but highly desirable) Must be authorized to work in the USA indefinitely without any sponsorship
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
The position works primarily in an office environment. Approximately 75 percent of the individual's work involves using a computer for entering and retrieving information, communicating with other Clark personnel and facilities. The individual holding the position may also travel to other CMHC facilities, dealers, vendors, etc.
