Job Description

DevSecOps Configuration Management Specialist DevSecOps Configuration Management SpecialistOur client seeks a DevSecOps Configuration Management Specialist to provide functional and empirical analysis related to software configuration management plans and procedures. The role is on-site at APG with a 4x10 schedule with Fridays off. The specialist will support configuration control, quality assurance, software release processes, and process improvement within DEVSECOPS and Agile environments.

6-month W2 Hourly contract to hireDue to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.   • Provide functional and empirical analysis related to software configuration management (CM) plans and procedures.
  • Write CM Plans and audit software change procedures, software development, software testing, and software documentation to verify compliance with CM plans and procedures.
  • Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system.
  • Work on code management, audits, baseline identification, and preparation and control of documentation for software projects.
  • Utilize configuration management tools and scripting including JIRA, Puppet, Confluence, and GitHub.
  • Implement CM processes in DEVSECOPS and Agile development environments.
  • Serve as a Configuration Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist.
  • Establish and assist in implementing CM, QA, and software license management processes.
  • Lead and support Configuration Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards.
  • Collaborate with Project Lead, Technical Leads, and Domain Team Leads on resource management planning meetings.
  • Maintain configuration control of SOPs and other branch or organizational documentation for standardization.
  • Implement CM processes in DEVSECOPS, Agile, and CI/CD environments using CM tools.
  • Establish and maintain procedures to initiate, record, review, approve, and track baseline modification requests.
  • Maintain a configuration management library or repository for baseline products.
  • Support software release processes and use of CM tools.
  • Support innovation and process improvement efforts.
  • Review and interpret command policies and guidelines for data and system security including DISA STIGs in support of IAVA and full releases.
  • Conduct QA assessments on internal and external products to ensure stakeholder needs are met.
  • Conduct After Action Reviews and develop After Action Reports for scheduled and rapid electronic warfare events.
  • Capture, document, and incorporate lessons learned into organizational processes.
  • Perform other CM and QA tasks as directed by the CM Team Lead. Experience Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Puppet, Confluence, GitHub, and scripting.
  • Experience implementing CM in DEVSECOPS, Agile, and CI/CD environments.
  • Experience leading or supporting CCBs and ERBs.
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and IAVA support.
  • Active Secret clearance.
