Job Description
Tower Systems Analyst
Skills
MAG is seeking a Tower System Analyst to provide requirement analysis and architecture development in support of the RMAC (Regional Multi-domain Awareness Capability) program across Department of Defense ranges and multidomain awareness efforts in remote international locations. This position requires the installation of sensors and other peripheral support items on top of or affixed to communications towers so Tower Climber certification is a requirement. Applicants should have experience in leading tower teams to complete the rigging, installation, and stabilization of towers across the globe. Sensors could include radars, EO/IR cameras, AIS and ADS/B antennas, microwave radio systems, SATCOM systems, HF/VHF radio systems, renewable energy systems, generators and battery bank systems.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Installation of Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers and antennas, radars, Automatic Dependent Surveillance
- Broadcast (ADS-B) receivers and antennas, security cameras, surveillance cameras, VHF/HF communications sets, microwave communications systems, satellite communications systems, domain awareness systems that include workstations, servers, and monitors, generator sets, renewable energy systems, routers, networks, encryption solutions, cross domain solutions, etc.
- engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate solutions to customer requirements.
- Analysis includes evaluating power requirements, local power available and any other site preparations necessary to support an installation.
- Provide technical and engineering support services, work with various types of electronic/ computer equipment and related devices, and direct the performance of or performing one or more of the following tasks: performing on site repair of systems; installations of systems or system components; participates in setting up, installing and initiating the operation of, servicing of and training on, systems in the field.
- Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Installation of sensor systems requires conducting work on towers and buildings and could involve the use of heavy equipment for site preparation.
- Because of extensive knowledge of the system and the components, may perform duties as a trainer.
- Must have hardware and software experience with multi-domain awareness systems, or other similar complicated sensor-based systems.
- Must have strong technical background with computer system administration, network administration, and general understanding and the ability to install/troubleshoot most of the following types of systems: VHF/HF communications systems, video systems, radars, AIS, ADS-B, microwave communications systems and satellite communication systems.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products, to include Excel, Project and Visio, to develop system architectures and to manage technical efforts in support of this program.
- Excellent communication skills in team environments
- Must be able to work well and complete projects with othersThe minimum years of related experience required:
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience associated with technical functions as related to development of system architecture for sensor systems.
- BA/BS degree and applicable experience must be in engineering, computer science or other technical field.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Other QualificationsOutside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
- Must possess an active Secret clearance level
- Must possess a current passport.
- Must possess a current Tower Climber certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work within office and Field environments.
- Must be able to travel to austere, OCONUS locations#LI-VF1Special NoteThe position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
