Job Description

Configuration Analyst Position OverviewTCOM is seeking a Configuration Analyst to support established programs by performing and assuming responsibility for assigned configuration management (CM) activities. This role applies technical knowledge to interpret and implement contractual configuration management requirements and internal TCOM procedures.

The position requires familiarity with technical documentation, parts, processes, and material standards, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with program management and cross-functional teams. The analyst will work within the Engineering Department and will be expected to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze proposed product design changes to determine impacts on form, fit, function, and end-item configuration.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation required to implement engineering and configuration changes.
  • Review engineering change data and related documentation to ensure compliance with TCOM configuration management policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and generation of configuration status accounting reports.
  • Assist with configuration management functions including configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, and configuration audits.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with program management and functional organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable customer, industry, and internal TCOM configuration management requirements and specifications.
  • Operate under the supervision of the Lead Configuration Analyst.
  • Utilize configuration management software tools to support CM activities.
  • Generate, update, and maintain Configuration Family Trees as required.
  • Perform duties as a Configuration Management Change Analyst, supporting change control processes.
  • Prepare and ensure completeness of data packages for audits, design reviews, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Deviations/Waivers, Revision Notices, and configuration status accounting reports.
  • Plan, prepare, and support Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to functional teams on proper configuration and change control procedures.
  • Research parts, processes, and materials using internal libraries and online resources.
  • technical regulations, standards, handbooks, and reference documents to resolve configuration-related issues.
  • Ad to industry standards, internal design guidelines, and standard practices.
  • Evaluate configuration workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of configuration management tools, practices, and evolving industry standards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in configuration management Compensation In compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $68,305 to $110,197.
The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. TCOM considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
