Data Migration Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Migration Lead to support a global organization within the technology and manufacturing sector in a long‑term program modernizing its enterprise platforms based out of North Carolina . The Data Migration Lead will guide the full migration lifecycle into SAP S/4HANA, oversee governance and quality controls, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate, reliable data readiness for cutover and production launch. Responsibilities of the Data Migration Lead include:

• Develop and manage the overarching data migration roadmap, including wave planning, checkpoints, and quality expectations.
• Establish and enforce data standards, validation rules, and governance routines aligned to program and change management structures.
• Oversee design updates and functional alignment for SAP MDG and Syniti ADM, ensuring mappings, transformations, and load processes meet target model requirements.
• Coordinate migration activities across functional, integration, testing, and cutover teams to support mock cycles and production readiness.
• Lead end‑to‑end migration execution, including profiling, cleansing, transformation, load validation, and issue triage across master and transactional data sets. Qualifications for the Data Migration Lead include:
• Minimum of 7 years directing SAP data migrations, including hands‑on experience with at least two full S/4HANA programs.
• Strong understanding of SAP master data domains such as Business Partner, Material, Finance, and related cross‑module dependencies.
• Experience configuring and leading processes within SAP MDG and working with Syniti ADM or similar data transformation tools.
• Proficiency with ETL concepts, data profiling techniques, and data quality frameworks within large, global environments.
• Prior work supporting enterprise‑scale transformations with multi‑phase cutovers and extensive stakeholder collaboration.

Salary Range:

$165,000-$185,000/year (USD)
