Job DescriptionIn this role you will support and drive projects with the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) engineering team. You will collaborate with engineers, managers, supervisors, and operators to help drive improvements throughout the Fiberon facilities by developing MES applications and hardware implementations to support the continuous improvement culture. What you will be doing:

Manage day-to-day MES-related issues, coordinating with other team members as necessary.

Utilize Ignition software for front end application design and development for MES.Define, design, and lead software implementations throughout the manufacturing operations.

Support alignment and harmonization of common manufacturing execution requirements and shop floor processes across multiple business units and sites.

Translate business and operational requirements into clear, detailed functional specifications for MES solutions.

Serve as a subject matter expert for MES functionality, including production execution, routing, work instructions, data collection, quality, and traceability.

Support system testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation prior to production deployment.

Partner with cross-functional teams to support site deployment, change management, training, and adoption of MES solutions.

Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and manufacturing performance improvement enabled by MES.Communicate complex technical concepts and system capabilities effectively to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.

Create and present project updates, risks, and recommendations to functional and leadership audiences.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and post-deployment enhancements to ensure MES solutions meet evolving business needs.

Analyze existing software code to make improvements. Qualifications3-5 years experience with software development requiredAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software EngineeringTechnical understanding of computer programming and application developmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environmentDemonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communicationKnowledge of Windows based systems and MS Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Python, Microsoft SQL databases, HTML, Java, and Expression languages a mustDemonstrated software application implementations into a production environmentGo-to person for daily software support activitiesKnowledge of PLC's, programming, tag structure, data collection a plusKnowledge of SCADA and MES software, such as Ignition, a plusKnowledge of ERP system functionality, bill of materials (BOM's), part/product configuration, and production scheduling/sequencing a plus. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP a plusMeticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individualAdditional InformationFortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. Hiring Pay Range:
$80,000 USD - $115,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
