: The primary role of IT Manufacturing Execution System Engineer is to serve as the technical lead for the core production floor IT MES system in regards to planning, maintenance and daily user support. This IT position will serve as a technical liaison between LPP's IT Leadership, department managers, and the application's user groups. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, the ability to adapt to changing business needs and a desire to leverage available technology into solutions for the business. Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing equipment design to reduce waste, improve operational and equipment efficiencies, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Design and coordinate MES system changes, equipment additions or replacement, and in accordance with IT Policies and Procedures Develop and maintain technical process and procedure documentation for both user and technical needs, including contingency operations. Monitor the IT MES systems daily for errors and issues. Troubleshooting issues, coordinate and communicate changes with production leaders. Work with business leaders and process owners to establish and enhance processes within core systems and applications throughout the company. Liaison / support between local LPP IT team and system vendors. Research, recommend and document organizational requirements for vendor installations and configurations. Monitor and respond appropriately to incidents, outages, and alerts and coordinating vendor support when necessary. Review, plan and assist vendors with updates, patches, and testing software solutions. Participate in release management schedule, aligning resources and ensuring software testing is completed on time. Utilize adhoc report writing tools within software applications to meet the needs of users. Develop and maintain technical process and procedure documentation for both user and technical needs, including contingency operations and SOPs. Provide accurate and timely standard production reporting to management to ensure metrics are achieved. Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Attend required trainings and meetings as needed. Assist users with support questions and troubleshooting.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of company policies and procedures. Knowledge of production planning, poultry production operations, and standard operating procedures. Skill in communicating in a positive and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational and project management skills. Knowledge of engineering standards, network communication protocols, and IT operating systems. Skill in using a personal computer and a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to communicate in a respectful and professional manner. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Ability to provide clear direction and supervise staff. Ability to be a positive representative of the Company.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field or a minimum of five years related experience in poultry processing.Note:
