Job Description
Configuration Management:
identification, change management, status accounting, audit and verification. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, this position is to be performed full-time on site , conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Under direct supervision and given specific direction, the successful candidate will execute SCM activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures. The SCM will learn to manage software repositories using designated SCM tools (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira) for software version and baseline control, using BAE Systems procedures. They will learn to execute and document software builds to ensure reproducible software baselines and deliveries. They will gain experience in performing release and change control functions using SCM tools to ensure product integrity. The SCM will assist in generating and maintaining all necessary program software development, release and change records, including status accounting records. They perform SCM Configuration Control Board activities including establishing the agenda, recording approvals/non-approvals, and publishing and maintaining action items lists. T he SCM will develop proficiency in the use of the assigned SCM tools, and knowledge of company software configuration management processes and standards. 1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth above. 2. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; 3. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers; 4. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents; 5. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations ; 6. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule. Required Education, Experience, & Skills- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- US citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Two or more years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware.
- Experience with SCM tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, BitBucket, ClearCase and ClearQuest.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$64926- $110374 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
