6:00am - 2:30pm Position Overview The Configuration Center Technician Senior is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and support of medium to high-complexity projects involving a variety of IT devices, including PCs, tablets, printers, routers, switches, access points, and servers. This role serves as an escalation point and subject matter expert for imaging, configuration, repair, and disposition activities. Responsibilities include warranty and non-warranty hardware repair, end-of-lease processing, data erasure, rebuilds, scrapping, and equipment resale processes based on customer requirements. The Configuration Center Technician Senior is expected to maintain intermediate - expert knowledge of MCPc internal systems and workflows and act as a training and escalation resource for Configuration Center staff. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Create, document, and execute written work instructions to provision, repair, and configure IT devices for deployment, disposition, or repair. Troubleshoot and perform complex device repairs with minimal supervision. Follow established procedures for data destruction and data erasure. Perform complex equipment kitting based on customer requirements. Test kitted equipment to ensure device compatibility and resolve issues as needed. Resolve most technical configuration issues independently without escalation. Develop, test, and maintain customer first-article build processes. Maintain and support internal processes for customer device images. Support customer infrastructure hosted on-site at the Configuration Center. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Unbox, re-box, and prepare equipment for shipment. Create service documentation, work instructions, and quality documentation. Provide on-site smart hands support at customer locations as required. Train and support technicians in learner or developing roles. Communicate effectively with project managers, sales teams, vendor partners, and customers. Participate in departmental and project meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Attributes Required Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Intermediate to expert knowledge of MCPc systems and workflows. Knowledge of service and incident management, testing, and quality procedures. Experience with knowledge management tools and process documentation. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong working relationships. Team-oriented, action-driven self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and work ethic. Aptitude to learn multiple IT disciplines at an advanced level. Experience and Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, training, or certifications. Valid Driver's License (less than 6 points, per insurance requirements). Physical Requirements This position involves lifting, carrying, standing, bending, and transporting IT equipment approximately 50% of the time. It also requires the occasional use of basic tools, equipment teardown and rebuild, and use of cleaning solutions.
